New Era in Education: Augmented Reality

Hi everyone,  

    This week's topic is Augmented Reality and I will show you our Augmented Reality integrated teaching material. 

    With my friend Sude, we created a handout where students explore a city without going abroad. Because it isn't as famous as the other cities, we choose New Delhi, the capital city of India, for students to visit. After that, we searched for 3d models or videos or anything we can make use of. However; the problem was that there was, unfortunately, limited opportunity. For instance, even though we found many free 3d models, they weren't working when uploaded. Therefore, we use youtube videos for each landmark. 

    As an app, we use Assemblr. It was definitely an entertaining application since you can even create your own 3d models by yourself. For instance, we add 3d text at the top of our video.

    And if you ask why augmented reality, it is because... 👇

    Because this is the 21st century and this technology matches 21st-century skills perfectly! However, there is a problem. As I mentioned above, finding the perfect application is impossible. Therefore I believe in the future when we have a great deal of opportunity in terms of AR, we can definitely use this technology in education better!
